Impact Stories

Real Lives. Real Change.

Story from Mukono District

Miriam's New Beginning

Miriam, 9, had dropped out of Primary 3 because her family could not afford books or a school bag. When the Purity Charity Bag (PCB) school supplies programme reached her village, she was re-enrolled within a week.

Today she is top of her class and wants to be a doctor. Her mother says the change in her confidence has been miraculous.

"She cried when she got her school bag. I cried too. We never thought this day would come." โ€” Miriam's mother
Story from Nakaseke

The Day the Doctors Came

In March 2026, the Purity Charity Bag (PCB) organised a medical outreach in Nakaseke โ€” a sub-county with no functioning health centre. Over 3 days, 420 patients were screened and treated for malaria, hypertension, skin infections, and eye conditions.

Many of the elderly had never had their blood pressure checked. Some received their first pair of eyeglasses at age 70.

"I can see my grandchildren clearly for the first time in 10 years." โ€” Community elder, Nakaseke
